Recap 12/2/19

Today we talked about music. The tape recorder was very important in the first stages of music. This device was the main component that was able to record the music until the synthesizer was invented. What I find interesting about music is that back in the past, the music for very basic and concrete. Now, music is very abstract. We then started to study multiple artists of music. While listening, I found it interesting how each artist has its own style with unique sounds. In the past, each artist had their own unique style. In today's world, I feel that multiple artists produce the same type of music. As technology has evolved, music has changed dramatically. Artists started to create music while trying to change the shape of particles and matter. While music was changing, some people agreed with the change but others hated it. For example, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles were very important during the transition of music. Lastly, we discussed different genres of music. My favorite to talk about was disco because I did not know that disco was "killed." For example, I did not know that records were physically blown up in attempt to demolish disco.
