Performance Art Piece

Image
I decided to do my performance art piece about social medial. In today's world everyone wastes too much time on social media watching what other people are doing with their lives. This video shows awareness to get off your technology and interact with the world and live your own life, not someone else's.

Class Reflection

Overall, I loved this class very much. Traveling back through time to see how art has changed with the influence of technology has opened my mind and allowed me to ponder where art will be in the near future. If I had to choose one project as my favorite in this class, I would have to choose  the Xerox project. First, I loved creating the project itself. I had a lot of fun completing it. Second, I particularly enjoyed how I was able to create a message with practically nothing. All I used were hands and newspaper to create an image with meaning. Lastly, my favorite topic that we talked about in this class was music. I found it interesting how music has evolved and the key differences that are present with today's music and the past. I would highly recommend this class to another student. You have an opportunity to express your ideas and passion for art.

I decided to complete my xerox project talking about teamwork. I have multiple fists together to show that an individual can achieved what they most desire. They will still need a team to guide them along the way. I used newspaper as the background to show awareness that even those only one person may be recognized in the newspaper, deep down, people know that it was an entire team effort.

What I find interesting about music is that back in the past, the music for very basic and concrete. Now, music is very abstract. We then started to study multiple artists of music. While listening, I found it interesting how each artist has its own style with unique sounds. In the past, each artist had their own unique style. In today's world, I feel that multiple artists produce the same type of music. As technology has evolved, music has changed dramatically. Artists started to create music while trying to change the shape of particles and matter. While music was changing, some people agreed with the change but others hated it. For example, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles were very important during the transition of music. Lastly, we discussed different genres of music. My favor...
