Broadway

The first Broadway show that I enjoyed watching was Meet Me at St. Louis. I enjoyed this excerpt of the Broadway because I felt that the show brought a lot of energy to the stage which then allows the crowd to feel a sense of excitement. In addition, the performers were all in synch which added another sense of preparation and professional which is always great to have when you have civilians paying money to see the show that the performers are about to preform.
The second Broadway show that I found appealing was The Leading Ladies. I particularly enjoyed the video on this Broadway because I found the performers voice very peaceful and soothing. Also, I found that the music accompanying the singing was very appropriate and accompanied the lyrics very appropriately. This is important in Broadway because it will set the right tone and stage for the audience who is watching the Broadway being preformed.
The last Broadway that I enjoyed watching was Hair. I particularly like Hair the best out of all the Broadway excerpts that I watched because it seemed the most recent. The singing was very powerful and always kept the audience on the edge of their seats because they never knew if just one person would be singing or if multiple voices would be singing together as one powerful voice. Lastly, I felt a sense of excitement with the crowd by their actions because it looked like they were having a lot of fun on stage, and the cast was trying to implant that feeling into the audience.

  1. I would have to agree. The ones you chose were fairly well done. Most of the ones available to view were great, and they were all unique. I found that I enjoy musicals and Broadway more than I thought. I like what you said about the importance of the music and setting the tone for the desired message.
